THIS DIDN'T START AS A BUSINESS.
BEFORE THERE WERE AWAKENED SWAYS, THERE WERE EVOLDANCES.
I would call them Evoldances. Evil/Evol -> love spelled backwards. The things we "love"; hold onto, believe, repeat, chase, defend, become attached to, or sometimes don't even realize we're carrying that can dance us further and further away from what's actually real.... I had mine.
Addiction was one. Anger. Judgment. Patterns I kept repeating. Beliefs I hadn't really questioned. Things I thought were just who I was. Things life had taught me. Things other people had handed me. Things I didn't even understand enough at the time to know whether they were actually mine.
And that's the thing about being danced by something.
You don't always know you're dancing.
Sometimes you think you're the one choosing every step.
It took life being life... different events, consequences, relationships, lessons, studying, questioning, growing, getting things wrong and having to look again... for me to become more honest about what was actually happening within me.
Not honest in the way that sounds good when you say it out loud. Honest when nobody else is there.
Why did I do that?
Why does this keep happening?
Why am I so angry?
Why am I judging this?
Why do I believe that?
Who told me that?
Is that even mine?
And eventually another question became harder to avoid.
WHO CONTROLS WHO?

THE SWAY CHANGED.
I wish I could tell you there was
one moment when I figured all of
this out...
There wasn't.
There were moments. Some big, small, painful, and beautiful. Some I understood while they were happening and others that didn't make sense until much later. But something was changing...I was paying attention differently...Questioning differently.
Studying. Learning. Becoming more present. Becoming more honest with myself about what I was giving my mind to, my energy, my belief, my attention, and definitely my power to. The things that had swayed me didn't magically disappear.
I started seeing them.
And seeing changed my relationship with them.
I could notice a thought without immediately becoming the thought.
I could recognize a pattern while it was happening.
I could question a belief I had treated like fact.
I could see when anger, judgment, fear, addiction, expectation, pain, or something from my past was trying to take the wheel.
And sometimes... I could choose differently. That matters.
Because Awakened Sways didn't come from me becoming some completely different person. In a strange way, it was almost the opposite.
It was a return to something that had always been there. It was forgetton yet still underneath under the noise. Something within me waking back up to itself.
The same life that showed me my Evoldances was also showing me another kind of movement. Movements that brought me back instead of carrying me further away.
I came to call those movements Awakened Sways.
WHAT THE NAME CAME TO MEAN
AWAKENED SWAYS
Movements, practices, realizations, choices, experiences, and disciplines that sway us back toward conscious alignment.
Same life. Different awareness. Different relationship with what gets to move me.
AND THAT'S WHY THIS BECAME
MORE THAN MY STORY.
Your Evoldances won't necessarily look like mine.
Your life hasn't been mine.
But I think most of us know what it's like to be moved by something before we fully realize how much power we've given it.
A thought. A person. A relationship. Fear. Money. Success. Pain. Religion. Culture. Family. An identity. An expectation. Something somebody said about us twenty years ago. Something that happened once and quietly became the lens through which we started seeing everything else. Even the constant noise inside our own minds.
That's why WHO CONTROLS WHO? became bigger than a question I was asking myself. And WHO TOLD YOU THAT? became more than questioning where a belief came from.
They're interruptions to give us a chance to catch ourselves in the moment- not as answers but to notice, to become honest, and maybe to realize.
I don't have to keep giving this the same power just because I've always given it power.
That's where the different sways come in. Reiki can be a sway. Meditation can be a sway. Writing can be a sway. A journal can be a sway. A Blueprint can be a sway. A conversation, question, realization, moment of silence, walk outside, difficult truth, breath, or experience can become a sway. None of them are the answer. But movements, movements we can step into that may help us see, experience, remember, question, receive, or return.
The tool isn't the awakening.
What becomes conscious within you is what matters.
THE HUE-MAN WITHIN IT
I'M NOT STANDING ON
THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS.

My spirituality is deeply woven into my life and this work.
I believe I am more than this body, more than a role, a name, a thought, a job, a past, or an identity I've collected along the way. I understand this body as a vessel and the being within it as spirit, light, life and power connected to something greater. I call that greater source the Most High. The I AM. I am a part of the Most High.
I AM THE I AM and the I AM 'The Most High' is greater than I
That's my understanding.
It's something I've come to through my own life, questioning, study, experiences, spiritual practice, Reiki, meditation, presence, faith and what continues to unfold within me. I don't need you to believe it because I believe it.
Actually, that would go against a lot of what Awakened Sways means to me.
Question. Experience. Pay attention. Be honest with yourself. See what is true for you.
I'm not your guru.
I'm another being here Life-ing, learning, remembering, creating and practicing what it means to move more consciously through this experience. And Awakened Sways is one of the things that has come through that journey.
THE INVITATION REMAINS YOURS.
I AM Jonathan Diggs (JD)
And I'm still being swayed.
I'm still learning what deserves my attention and what doesn't. Still catching thoughts. Still questioning beliefs. Still practicing presence. Still learning from my reactions. Still discovering things about myself I couldn't see from where I was standing before.
That's important for me to say because I don't want Awakened Sways to become another place where somebody stands on the other side of life and tells you they've figured it all out.
I haven't.
I'm living this too. That's not what this is.
SO WHAT IS AWAKENED SWAYS REALLY HERE FOR?
MAYBE THE FIRST SWAY
IS SIMPLY NOTICING.
Not to fix you...Not to give you another identity to wear...Not to tell you that I know something about you that you don't...And definitely not to become another thing you hand your power over to.... I want Awakened Sways to create moments where something interrupts the automatic.
Where you notice the thought. Catch the reaction. Question the belief. Feel what's actually happening. Sit with yourself. Receive. Remember. Choose.
Maybe differently this time, maybe not.
The first sway might simply be, becoming aware that there is a choice there at all. That's enough to begin, because the more I've lived this, the more I've realized that...
AWAKENING ISN'T ALWAYS SOME
HUGE SPIRITUAL MOMENT.
Sometimes it's incredibly ordinary.
It's catching yourself.
It's being honest.
It's seeing what you couldn't see before.
It's realizing something has been dancing you and becoming present enough to decide whether you're going to keep following its steps.
That's the movement.
That's why the journals exist.
That's why I practice and offer Reiki.
That's why I write.
That's why I question.
That's why I create these different sways.
And that's why this name that has been with me for so much of my life finally makes more sense to me now than it ever did before.
Awakened Sways.
Different movements. Different experiences. Different ways back.
Not to who somebody else says you should be.
Back toward enough awareness to consciously meet who you are,
what's here, and what you choose from here.
WHO CONTROLS WHO?
That's still the question.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO FROM HERE?
